"Salvation is of the Jews, said Jesus"

How could he have said this when the word Jew didn't exist in his time. or until at earliest the 17th century?

Yet modern bibles are inundated with that Zionist term, as are the teachings of most Christian/Zionist churches. So why are you using it as if it did?

Other than that I enjoyed it, and agree on churches, I've been a Matthew 6 worshipper myself, and it's surprising how many Christians of all denominations don't understand what that means. I guess their churches don't want them to read the Bibles in full, and especially not that chapter.

It should also have no bearing on the northern tribes who were the Israelite's (not that you did), but even the modern Jews acknowledge this.

"From this point on, there would be two kingdoms of Hebrews: in the north - Israel, and in the south - Judah. The Israelites formed their capital in the city of Samaria, and the Judaeans kept their capital in Jerusalem. These kingdoms remained separate states for over two hundred years."

The bible also says and choose your version of text, though I don't see specific to the 1611 version.

"For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect."

Matthew 24:24 https://biblehub.com/parallel/matthew/24-24.htm

"For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect."

Mark 13:22 https://biblehub.com/parallel/mark/13-22.htm

Some actually believe it refers to elected officials, when it is clearly a reference to the church elders. It seems to have come to pass.

Probably the most accurate word one can use in this current age is "deception". It definitely abounds. I'm not certain of much anymore, but one thing that has grown is a seemingly endless curiosity. If some of the words & codexes of the Bible have been tampered with, lost, fragmented, mis-translated etc, then how can anyone with reasonable certainty ascribe the sayings recorded as coming from the mouth of Jesus? It appears to me to be a mystery.

As heretical as it sounds, it may be the Scriptures are in fact a Script that is being played out. Despite the fact the message of Jesus that comes through in the Bible is predominately one of love & compassion, (although if this has been focused on deliberately by excluding or minimizing others non-canonical writings is impossible to say).

I am reminded of one saying that may be extra relevant in our times of an increasingly sophisticated and all encompassing technological/artificial merging of biology with synthetic "life". If it is true that in the end days people will wish for death, but it won't come, then I can think that this merging of machine & flesh & possibly soul could be the means to that end.

Thanks for an interesting article.
