My understanding from knowing Paul's doctrine well, is that Christ will save anyone who will simply trust him at his word. It then takes years of studying to learn how to walk pleasing to God, which is why the Spirit dwells in us, to teach us, by his word dwelling in us richly. I will never be religious. I would rather grow in the knowledge of the truth. Thank you for giving me the idea of stressing in my next post how we can never measure up to God's standards. That is the essence of grace. "I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain." I am merely a sinner, saved by grace.
Melinda, I appreciate that you can pull verses out of the prophetic Scriptures, as well as
from Romans thru Philemon. I'm saved and stablished by Paul's gospel and doctrine, not the Jews/Hebrews religion. "Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, but now is made manifest... Moreover brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; by which also ye are saved... for I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day... That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise." (Rom 16:25, 1 Cor 15:1-4, Eph 1:12,13 kjv).
I do not mix the message Christ gave to Israel with the message he gave to my apostle Paul. This is the essence of rightly dividing the word of truth according to 1 Tim 2:15 kjv.
Thank you for your comment, Melinda. I do not subscribe to any person's interpretation of Scripture. I study it out for myself and believe what I read. I have found by studying Genesis through Revelation that God is dispensing grace today, without the law, without holy days, without ordinances, without distinction of Jew or Gentile, and without prophetic fulfillments. According to the Apostle Paul and 13 books of his, inspired by the Holy Spirit, we are living in an age not known before Paul, known as the dispensation of the grace of God (Eph 3:2): "Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, BUT NOW is made manifest..." Rom 16:25. I will go into this in my next post--sola scriptura-- allowing it to say what it says, to whom it says it, by rightly dividing (prophecy vs the mystery) as instructed in 2 Tim 2:15 kjv. We are instructed in Eph 3:9... "to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ." I love looking into the prophetic writings because it's all inspired and very interesting to me, but I know it is to, for, and about Israel and their past and future inheritance concerning the earth.
You have an amazing imagination.
