Wow! Thank you Dawn. Excellent insight & observations into The Word. All the details are in The Word for a reason. You have done a wonderful job in this article explaining many topics and alluding to many others. I'm inspired by your ending scriptural statement. I'll be reading this several more times and sharing it wherever I can.
Why, it doesn't. It is God's word that gives life, not man's. "Yea, let God be true, but every man a liar," Rom 3:4. And, "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works." It's complete. There's no need for any other book.
Hmmm, I don't know any Mormons personally, so can't comment on that.
I've been judged and excluded my whole spiritual life for discerning good and evil by the Book, not by what my neighbor or family member thinks. I'm fine being a spectacle to the world... "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us." -- Rom 8:18.
I aim to please the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, who may give unto me the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: that my eyes of understanding be enlightened; that I may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints awaits me (Eph 1:17-18).
You may not yet know this calling. But when you do, what people think of you and whether they accept you or not, falls to zero.
It's what God thinks of you and whether you trusted in his only begotten Son, and studied the Book he gave you.

That’s encouraging. Thank you, Teresa.
Where does the Book of Mormon fit into the picture?

The Mormons are so nice and accepting but ‘traditional’ Christians are judgy and excluding. How does that fit in?
